I got my Canon 40d back from the camera hospital!
I took it out for a test run yesterday evening and captured this:

does anyone else use one? or, more importantly, does anyone know how to work the self timer properly on it?
One thing i notice yesterday evening is that I couldn't work out how to make it function.
The manual just says that it will work in any shooting mode, and all I have to do is hold down 'AF-DRIVE' and spin the dial between the timer modes.
But when im doing this...OMG, i just did it then and it worked!
haha brilliant!
I swear it wasnt working before! Ah well, good stuff
