WIPS and previews for my upcoming deviation!

thisi s something iv been working on so hard over the last week, its taknig so long to paint it all but i think its worth it!

some of the elements are been brushed in (like the grass and waterdroplets) rather than been drawn freehand though which had helped me alot!

my basic process is base colour, smudge, more colour, smudge, more colour, blur/smudge, slowly building up details using finer and finer brushes

as you can see im yet to add details to the hands and dandelions but the flute and hair is pretty much done

iv learnt so much while doing this

and hopefully this is going to be one of many digital paintings in my gallery soon if i get a positive responce

did i mention this is all mousework?

Damn, get yourself a Wacom Tablet, seriously it helps speed things up alot. I have been doing all my stuff the last few years with a mouse, and just recently got myself a Intous3 9x12... and it is worth it, very much so. I bet you could have done all this in just a couple of days instead, maybe just one day if you worked without stopping. You should consider it if you really like doing this.
