the passionate love of Francesca da Rimini and Paolo Malatesta inspired Rodin the sculpt his Kiss.
i wanted to breath life into his statue, to do this i used oil pastels to give the flesh vibrant colours that the marble could never achieve.

Wow, this is very moving, the colours are so vivid and mesmorizing. I'm afraid I must favourite it. Really, those colors put so much motion and emotion into the piece. You can almost feel the breath between them. I also like the texture in the background, I have seen examples of this technique before in magazines, you have perfected it nicely. Great work, I could compliment it all day! :w00t:
