Isle of Skye

The colours of february were washed out and dirty looking so I converted to mono and added areas of contrast.

This photo failed to raise much interest in my other online galleries, but i dunno, I quite like it, so I submit it here too in hope that perhaps I can find some that share my view :)
of course if it fails to gather any positive feedback here i shall simple have to reside to the fact that im just missing something! all crits most definatly welcome!

(i strongly recommend the full view)

camera: Canon 350d
lens: 18-55mm
filter: ND8
exposure: 30sec
time: late morning
month: february
location: Isle of Skye

thankyou! xoxo

Gorgeous! I really think that the black and white brings out many different textures that might not have been seen in a color version. The only critique I would have to say is that black and white photos sometimes make some landscape look drab. Everything in this image looks great in black and white except the land to the top-left of the image. But the nature isn't exactly the photographer's fault. :P Other than that, I luurve it! :D

again.. I love this image.. I love the contrast you have chosen

The most important thing to remember that as long as you like it, it,s a good photo.

The location is incredible and the composition is perfect. I think one of the problems is that in monochrome, the complexity and hardness of the surroundings tends to be at odds with the softness in the rivers motion in the time exposure. As my eyes follow the rivers flow, I am distracted to other areas of the image. If this location is accessible, you may want to soot it in soft light with a little mist to help soften the overall feel of the shot. If you can't return here, I have a huge pile of under appreciated or un-loved photos that would welcome this one.

I think it's beautiful, I don't know why anyone wouldn't think so. I especially like the tiny tree atop the waterfall.

First off, LOVE THE NAME! It actually suits it quite well.

But I really enjoy the contrast and composition, the line of the river draws my eye through the picture. I quite enjoy it :D
