**PART OF MY 2008 CALENDAR**

guy i hope you dont mind me uploading my practice shots here
as just like i had to learn how to use my macro lens, i need to learn how to handle capturing landscapes in more complex lighting conditions
so yeh, i know, hardly my best work, but we've all got to start somewhere with new challenges.

and my challenge today? (well yesterday now) getting up at 5.30am and trying to capture the dawn.

i chose Luss, on the banks of Loch Lomond for my location, i had no idea what to expect and i was actually a bit disapointed. dispite the nice cloud cover and those fabulous light rays, the shore line was all fine sand and finding foreground interest was hard. i walked long along the shore until i can upon these few rocks decorating the otherwise bare waterline.
just after i'd taken this shot the sun broke through the thick clouds and all hope of a 'dawn' shot was lost
