this is my absolute favourite of the photos i took in Scotland, but already i know it not really going to get the feedback i really want : ( doesn't that always seem the way with us artists? the pieces we really love seem to get overshadowed on dA : ( so every comment and view will be highly appreciated, every  is treasured   this beautiful silent mare approached me as i photographed the cemetery grounds, i don't know who she belonged to, but she was beautiful, and a perfect subject. i loved how her mane was blowing in the wind, atmosphere. i loved the reflection in her eyes, a secret revealed. i loved the way the lighting picked up the highlights and textures across her body.  to isolate the graves in her eye so i used a 200mm telephoto lens on my canon 350d <3 xoxo update :  just reminded me;...The kelpie is a supernatural shape-shifting water horse from Celtic folklore that is believed to haunt the rivers and lochs of Scotland... ...It was often described as a majestic white horse that would appear near rivers, particularly during foggy weather.... ...Anyone who climbed onto its back would not be able to get off again.
