Something mythical about this place don't you think..?

The loch is said to be haunted by a water kelpie, a supernatural being who have the ability to shape shift. It's most common guise was that of a beautiful tame horse standing by the riverside - a tempting ride for a weary traveller. Anybody foolish enough to mount the horse would find themselves in dire peril, as the horse would rear and charge headlong into the deepest part of the water, submerging with a noise like thunder to the travellers watery grave.
Another disguise the Kelpie could take was that of a handsome man, and because of the danger of these creatures, people were wary of lone animals and strangers standing by the waters edge, in places reputed to be haunted by the Kelpie.
However I felt nothing but tranquility as I gazed out across these haunted waters even with the Isle of Skye looming in the background.
